Tempo Toronto Launch Fever – but not from H1N1

It’s been truly crazy. There I was basking in the spring sunshine of South Australia, and I had to think: what shall we serve our guests? How can we keep this launch event as green as possible, and using the most local food and wines we can. Interesting doing a launch plan from a distance, but thanks to a trusty Producer (Shayna Haddon) this new web magazine for Toronto’s over-50s will be launched, and in fine style. Ooops, we have more people wanting to come than we have space for … it’s at Verity, the amazing club for women of Toronto and the GTA, and we thought half of our invitees would say “No”. Not so. It seems there’s a buzz about this whole concept: the local angle is what is so compelling.

At the launch dozens of people will be registering as part of the Tempo Toronto community so that they can enter contests as they arise, take advantage of the special offers we’ll be making, and perhaps more importantly, commenting on articles and even contributing ideas or entire stories of their own. We really want to make Tempo Toronto a community magazine that inspires Toronto’s third-agers, people over 50, middle-aged people, baby boomers – whatever we want to call ourselves – to try something a little different.

You can help. Just register, review some of the articles, and let us know what you’d like to add.
